I’ve finaly decided to give it a try in setting up a blog on my own Gentoo Linux based server. Well it turns out it was extremely simple. I have Apache web server and MySQL database runing for a long time here. So all I had to do to set up this blog was to download WordPress, a free and open source blogging system, extract it into a folder that is served by the web server, create a database for the blog, change a couple of settings and here it is.
